FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: tab part of a flexible clamping mechanism is made with a working hole while preliminary machining, the hole diameter is equal to the larger diameter of a fed blank with an allowance for final grinding. The cylindrical part is made with an outer diameter determined from a relation Dн= (t×n)/Π+Dв where t is the width of the slot between the jaws; n is the number of slots; Dв is the inner diameter of the body. A cutting of h= t × ∩ width which is the continuation of one of the slots of the tab part of the flexible clamping device is also made on the cylindrical part. The resultant blank is deformed through the cylindrical part until the necessary diameter for mating the body is obtained by radial forming. EFFECT: improved quality. 2 dwg
