FIELD: virology. SUBSTANCE: essence of this invention resides in freeing virus-containing tissue antigen obtained by method of saccharose-acetone extraction and thus freed of lipids from ballast proteins in column with CM-cellulose at pH value of 6.0 to 6.1, subjecting it to sorption in column with CM-cellulose at pH value of 4.7 and then washing it off using minimum quantity of buffer (pH value 6.0) with 0.3 M NaCl. Disclosed method allows degree of refinement of 99 % minimum in protein and yield of up to 500 % of complement-binding activity of antigen at concentration increased 100 to 200 times. EFFECT: method ensures higher specific activity of preparation and thus constitutes prerequisites for further improvement of viral preparations.
