FIELD: construction; vaulted buildings. SUBSTANCE: vaulted construction is made of prefabricated flat or spatial members having similar sizes, and rests upon foundations. The linear sizes of prefabricated members in the vault plane and the number of members is determined from a dependence presented in the description. In the case that building is symmetrical with respect to the vault central vertical longitudinal axis, the inclination angle of lower prefabricated member and the building height are determined from dependences presented in the description of the invention. If the building is constructed of alternating sections having a variable height along its length, with equal section spans, the adjacent sections are secured by brace members made in the form of cross stays, struts and/or ties.
