FIELD: education devices for theoretical mechanics, in particular, presentation of forced precession and gyro effect. SUBSTANCE: device has disk 1, which is mounted on shaft 2, support bearings 3 and 4, flexible disk rests 5, rotation frame 6, handle 7, base 8, strut 9, supports 12 of frame 6, pulley 13, pointer 17 for shaft 2, rotation rest 20 for frame 6. Presentation starts with imparting desired rotation frequency to disk 1 by means of pulley 13 and towline. Then rest 20 of frame 6 is turned. This results in perceived rotation of frame by base 9 in horizontal plane about base 8. Alteration of position of disk 1 on shaft 2 leads to alteration of acceleration that effects gyro. This displays alteration of precession speed. Then disk 1 is mounted on rest 20 of frame 6 once again and is fixed by means of flexible rests 5. Then, gyro is mildly driven by means of handle 7, so than end of shaft 2 with pointer 17 is elevated. This results in demonstration of impact of value and direction of applied forces onto value and direction of gyro mass center velocity. EFFECT: simplified manufacturing, facilitated use. 1 dwg
