FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this method for determining magnitude of angle of prismatic portion of spheroprismatic lens prescribes measuring amount of optimal displacement of retinal image and determining angular value of prismatic portion of spheroprismatic lens following equation, namely: B = 15 A - 0.045, where A is angular value of linear displacement of retinal image in degrees and B is magnitude of angle of prismatic portion of spheroprismatic lens in degrees. EFFECT: higher accuracy of calculating magnitude of angle of prismatic portion of spheroprismatic lens to be implanted in patient suffering from cataract aggravated by maculodystrophy.
