FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves removing the lens using access through the flat part of the ciliary body and performing subtotal vitrectomy. The sclerosed lens nucleus is removed by means of transciliary bimanual phakoemulsification. Lens mass, anterior and posterior lens capsules are withdrawn with vitreotome end piece.
