FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: circular sieves serve as catalysts at ammonia burning and as nets for reclaiming of platinum metals. The sieves are fabricated of wire made from platinum having 4 - 12 percent by weight rhodium or palladium and rhodium combined. For the same purpose serves the wire from palladium having 2 -15 percent by weight nickel or copper or nickel and copper taken together. The wire has its diameter ranging from 50 to 120 μm with its tensile strength equaling 900-1050 N/mm2 its break stretch reaching 0.5-3%. To follow the procedure a flat machine is used with its division ranging from 3.63 to 1.81 mm. The loop 2-6 mm in length. EFFECT: sieves of preset configuration can be fabricated without resorting to a satellite thread.
