FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst grid for reducing the amount of N2O in the process of ammonia oxidation and installation for the catalytic oxidation of ammonia containing such a grid. Catalyst mesh comprises first layer (2) of a woven or knitted first wire material (4) made of Pd or a Pd-rich alloy, while first layer (2) contains reinforcement in the form of second wire material (5), which is woven or stuck into first wire material (4), and which has a composition different from that of first wire material (4), and also contains second layer (3) of woven or knitted third wire material made of Pd or Pd-rich alloy, located parallel to first layer (2), while second layer (3) also contains second wire material (5), which is woven or tied into the third wire material and is present in the form of connecting thread (5), which repeatedly passes from first layer (2) to second layer (3) and back.
EFFECT: invention provides a durable and long lasting catalyst mesh and an increase in overall process efficiency.
