FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: new product of the general formula (I) given in description, where R - C1-C14-alkyl, n=3,4. Synthesized product showed peaks in infra-red spectrum at 3340 cm-1 and 3487 cm-1 which prove the presence of OH-groups, and also peaks at 874 cm-1 and 1617 cm-1 which prove the presence of aryl-group. Reagent 1: 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene. Reagent 2: aldehyde of formula RCHO, where R as indicated above. Reaction conditions: process is carried out in the presence of at least 0.1 mole strong inorganic acid per every mole of 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene in the medium of organic solvent.
