METHOD FOR PROCESSING WOOD GREEN OF CONIFERS Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: production of biologically active substances. SUBSTANCE: wood green of conifers (e.g. pine, fir, spruce, cedar) is extracted by organic solvent. Then conifer wax having melting point 72-76 C is isolated by settling and by filtration at cooling. Thus prepared solution of extractive substances is saponified with the help of 20-30% alkali solution, the process is carried out in hydrocarbon solvent. Saponified solution is separated into solution of neutral compounds in hydrocarbon solvent and aqueous-alkali solution of organic acids. The process is followed by acidifying mentioned above aqueous- alkali solution by organic or inorganic acid to pH 1-3 and by separating chlorophyllin acids and fraction of fat and resin acids from it. Then solvent is distilled of neutral compounds, wax having melting point 52-56 C is isolated of it by precipitation. The process is followed by vacuum distillation at residual pressure being not more 400 Pa to produce sesquiterpenoids fractions having boiling point 90-120 C, labdane diterpenes having boiling point 120-210 C and vat residue. Said vat residue is treated by alcohol solution of alkali (alcohol being distilled) and dissolved in organic solvent. Then water is added and separation into solution of fatty acid salts and solution of unsaponified compounds is carried out by settling. Concentrate of fat acids is isolated of fatty acid salts by acidifying to pH 1-3. Sterines, polyprenols, di- and triterpenoids are isolated of unsaponified compounds with the help of liquid extraction. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 3 tbl
