APPARATUS FOR GASSES LOCALIZATION AND REMOVAL FROM CONVERTER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus of gasses localization and removal from converter has a dust screen, that has inner and outer stationary casings, mounted with clearance. Front wall of the outer casing, that is immediately adjacent to the front wall of the inner casing, is fixed in on a shaft and is capable to move. Side walls are made extruding beyond the converter cross section plane. Box with a slit of variable cross section and with nozzles in the form of ejectors is fixed under neck of pouring out spout. Vertical plates are installed around the neck of the converter, excluding side of the pouring out spout. The front wall of the dust screen is made sectional and each section moves independently. The vertical plates and space around the converter neck up to the plates are heat-insulated. EFFECT: apparatus is used for converters gasses catching and removal. 3 cl, 4 dwg
