FIELD: devices for trapping gases from electric arc furnaces. SUBSTANCE: device includes exhaust hood with flexible shield over perimeter of shutters insert located above arch portion and guide fitted on arch portion of furnace which consists of two hollow cones. Inner cone is mounted above arch at spaced relation and is shifted towards electrodes. Outer cone has circular clearance at base and heat-resistant flexible shield over perimeter. Space between inner and outer cones is provided with screen platform at level of arch top. Opening angle of inner cone ranges from 60 to 90 deg. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
