FIELD: wind-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: unit has mast 1, a frame rotatably mounted on it and made in the form of two hollow front and back truncated cones 4, 5 respectively coaxially mounted in a spaced relation. The cones face the wind by smaller bases ahead of which blades of windmills 2 with a horizontal axis of rotation are located. The windmills together with generators 3 are mounted on the inner surface of the cones. The generators are connected in a common loading through contact rings on the frame journal. When in operation the unit self-orients down the wind as the distance between the small base of front cone 4 and the longitudinal axis of mast 1 is less than the total length of the frame.
