FIELD: test technology. SUBSTANCE: method of quality control and focusing an optic system involves the steps of: forming a collimated light beam, deviding it into two beans of the same intensity, passing through an optic system to be tested, focusing the beams passed through the system onto a receiving device, recording them and determining quality and determining quality and defocusing degree of the optic system by dividing the beam into two beams symmetrical with respect to the optic axis of a collimator. The method is characterized in that prior to recording scanning is performed by these beams, a time interval absolute value of occurence of signals and their amplitudes are measured, the recording of signals in time is performed. The information on quality of the optic system is derived from the amplitude of signals and defocusing degree is derived from the time interval value. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
