SUBSTANCE: the treatment of residual liquids of fixing baths in the photographic and photochemical industries comprises separation of silver, treatment with a mixture of nitric and sulfuric acids in a 1:3 ratio and separation of sulfur. The method makes it possible to reuse the liquid and utilize it as a fertilizer when the resulting acid solution is neutralized with lime milk or as a reducing agent in liquid waste products containing chromic acid.
