FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: compound engine comprises a low pressure compressor with rotor and sleeve installed on supports, a combustion chamber with nozzles, and an additional expansion machine. Discs form a complex for distributing working fluid among engine cylinders. Cylinders accommodate pistons linked by connecting rods with crankshafts which latter are connected by bevel gears with the shaft of air-distributing disc. The shaft is connected via reduction unit with power take-off shaft. Operating principle of the engine is based on continuous supply of fuel into the combustion chamber which is fed with compressed air and, additionally, atmospheric air. EFFECT: higher fuel economy and longer service life of engine. 2 cl, 18 dwg
