FIELD: underwater acoustics. SUBSTANCE: accumulated amount of angular extent of target is compared with forecasted amount. Time of accumulation is equal to period of natural oscillations of moored mine in stream. Besides that, in determination of presence of downstream trace in measured angular extent of target, final decision is taken on detection (classification) of moored mine.
