METHOD OF FINDING OF ELECTRON CONCENTRATION IN HYDROGEN PLASMA Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2019069 C1

FIELD: astrophysics, spectral analysis. SUBSTANCE: method is based on use of law of decrease of potential of ionization of atoms of hydrogen due to action of ions and electrons and to displacement of boundary of hydrogen continuum in spectrum of plasma into long- wave field of spectrum with widening of line close to limit of hydrogen series by Stark and Doppler effects. Minimum value of electron concentration in plasma is determined in compliance with formula given in description of invention. By number of hydrogen line mp from which growth of intensity of precontinuum of hydrogen series starts maximum value of electron concentration is found. Apart from determination of optimum values of electron concentration by analysis of profiles of lines method allows minimum and maximum values of ne in volumes of investigated formation to be found which ensure intensity of radiation sufficient for registration by photographic method. EFFECT: improved reliability of method.
