FIELD: geophysics, possible use in national space observation systems.

SUBSTANCE: earthquake prediction system has a group of spacecrafts with height of orbits, passing directly through ionosphere formations. At each spacecraft device for measuring electronic concentration of ionosphere is mounted, system for registration of measured parameters and transmission of measurements results to ground-based stations, devices for ground processing of signal and prediction of earthquake parameters. Device for measuring electronic concentration of ionosphere contains immobile electrode, connected to body of spacecraft, and moving electrode, periodically exposed to ionosphere plasma. Registration system has amplifier - synchronous detector of parametrically modulated signal, threshold element. On basis of parameters of registered signal, on ground processing means hypocenter of source is calculated, expected impact time and magnitude.

EFFECT: increased precision and trustworthiness of earthquake prediction.
