SHEET GLASS DECORATING METHOD Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: application of decorative designs. SUBSTANCE: method involves removing fat from glass sheet surface; positioning required design under glass sheet and drawing contouring lines of design on glass sheet surface by fluid viscous paste; exposing glass sheet to drying till paste is hardened. Paste contains emulsion polyvinyl acetate adhesive and bronze powder or graphite powder and alumina in an amount of 1 part by volume of bronze powder or graphite powder and 0.5 part by volume of alumina to 1-3 parts by volume of polyvinyl acetate. Fat is removed from glass sheet surface by mixture containing alumina and distilled water in an amount of 1 part of alumina and 3 parts of water. Emulsion adhesive may be used with plasticizer. Parquet varnish with addition of aqueous or alcoholic dyes may be used dyeing liquid, applied onto glass sheet surface defined by contouring line relief. EFFECT: increased efficiency and high decorative effect.
