FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: silencer has vortex inlet chamber 2 made of a hollow body of rotation whose wall is provided with inlet branch pipe 1 arranged tangentially, resonance chamber 4 and outlet branch pipe 3. Resonance chamber 4 is in communication with outlet branch pipe 3 through flowing part of the silencer and with passive nozzle 8 that is coaxial to chamber 2. Nozzle 8 is coupled to chamber 4 through a recirculating passage arranged along chamber 2 outside. The silencer can be provided with additional branch pipe for sucking atmosphere air in core region of the vortex. The resonance chamber 4 can be formed with a clearance between outer surface of inlet chamber 2 and case 7 that encloses the chamber eccentrically. EFFECT: enhanced silencing. 8 cl, 4 dwg
