FIELD: acoustic methods of non-destructive control. SUBSTANCE: piezoelectric element 4 excites elastic vibration pulses in protector 2 made of polarized piezoelectric material. These pulses induce magnetic field recorded by output signal of two electric windings 5 connected in opposite; the windings are aligned with protector 2. Magnetic field, being induced in protector 2, excites concentric eddy currents in electroconducting object 6. Magnetic field of object 6 after it interacted with primary magnetic field, brings information of presence and sizes of surface detects of object 6. Ultrasound defectoscopy of object 6 is preformed traditionally by means of piezoelectric element 4. Geometric parameters of height of windings 5 and thickness of protector 2 are chosen in such a manner to provide maximal output signal from winding 5. EFFECT: improved sensitivity to surface defects of electroconducting objects. 2 dwg
