FIELD: ultrasonic measurement equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ultrasonic measurement technology , specifically, to high-frequency broadband piezoelectric converters of megaherz range. Proposed piezoelectric converter has piezoceramic elements with electrodes on opposite surfaces which have relation of height to width not less than two and arranged one in parallel to another on damper rigidly coupled to lower electrode , matching layer, protector and focusing lens. Piezoceramic elements are intercoupled with the use of bonding substance via layer of electric insulation film. In particular case piezoceramic elements are joined by adhesive via layer of capacitor paper with thickness not exceeding one fifth width of piezoceramic element. Process of manufacture of piezoelectric converter includes formation of multilayer packages of workstocks of unpolarized piezoceramic elements having width half as mush as resonance dimension with the aid of their rigid connection by bonding substance via layer of electric insulation film. After this they are cut perpendicular to layers by height corresponding to resonance dimension, are coated with metal, upper and lower surfaces of workstocks are fitted with current collectors and then they are subjected to polarization and certification. EFFECT: increased coefficient of electromechanical coupling of thickness oscillations and enhanced coefficient of double conversion. 12 cl, 2 dwg
