FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves blackening of snow before thawing in strips 7-30 cm wide with 0.5-2.0 m spacings between strips. With snow layer 5 cm thick the blackening strips are 7 cm wide spaced at 0.5 m from one another while in case of a snow layer thicker than 1.2 m the strips are 30 cm wide spaced at 2.0 m from one another. If the snow is very thick and on steep slopes the blackening strips are oriented in south-north direction. Blackening material is ash, soot, crushed peat, phosphorite meal, etc. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl
