FIELD: shutting off liquid-carrying pipelines. SUBSTANCE: pipeline communicating with pipe union is provided with closing member in the form of flexible torus filled with compressed gas and communicating with propelling mechanism. Torus is enveloped by flexible bands. One end of the band is secured rigidly on pipe union while the other one passes through central hole of torus, embraces it over external surface and is connected with propelling mechanism. Pipe union has a conical portion, a sealed partition inside this portion and four radial through holes, two on each side of partition. Bands are secured at one end to the conical portion. The propelling mechanism has the form of a drive shaft with drums wound with ends of bands connected with propelling mechanism, and is accommodated in the casing. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
