FIELD: power engineering; nuclear power plants using water-moderated reactors. SUBSTANCE: power unit has water storage tank communicating with primary circuit placed under containment and provided with circulating pipelines for hot and cooled coolant, inclined downwards from steam generator to reactor. Loose end of water storage tank inlet pipe communicates with pipeline carrying cooled coolant in vicinity of its connection to steam generator between connection levels of hot coolant pipelines, respectively, to water- moderated reactor and steam generator.
