FRUIT PICKER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture; agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: fruit picker is provided with a turn mechanism. The mechanism has a bushing mounted on a thrust bearing. Grips of the fruit picker are flexible spherical members. One grip is stationary, and the other oscillates. The axle of oscillation is secured in a tube, and it is provided with a spring which presses the movable grip against the stationary one. One tube is mounted in the other for height resetting. The design allows the fruit picker to be rotated in a thick tree crown without much effort. The flexible grips acquire the fruit shape to protect the fruit from physical damage. EFFECT: simpler design; convenience in operation; enhanced operating capabilities. 3 dwg
