FIELD: metallurgy, metal casting. SUBSTANCE: melt enters crystallizer through extension with thermal insulation mounted at the crystallizer. In this case the melt comes through flowing liquid halide-based flux by forcing the flux from an intermediate reservoir and putting away through holes in the extension with thermal insulation. The flux is heated up to a temperature not less than solidus of the metal cast. The melt comes through liquid flux with induced electric field produced by electrode arranged in the flux and connected with power supply. EFFECT: increased casting productivity. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
