FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method of technical 75% phosphorous acid production involves the hydrolysis of vat waste from rectification of dimethylphosphite containing dimethylphosphite, monomethylphosphite and phosphorous acid. Hydrolysis process is carried out using 2-3-fold water excess with continuous methanol formed and moderate temperature increase from 86-90 C at beginning of hydrolysis process to 105-110 C at the end. Method is used for production of phosphorus-containing complexones, phosphorous acid salts, reductants, polymeric stabilizing agents, bioactive compounds, etc. EFFECT: improved method of phosphorous acid production.
