FIELD: production of molded carbon blanks. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of setting vertically arranged large-size carbon blanks to cartridges of a furnace chamber in its lower and central parts; forming a screen along a periphery of the cartridges of row of small-size blanks; filling a space between the blanks by a carbon overfilling; at a side of a burner device providing a thickness of the screen of small-size blanks, equal to (0.4-0.6) of a diameter of large-size blanks; at other sides -(0.2-0.3) of a diameter of the same blanks; pouring a protective layer over the blanks and performing a firing operation, being alternative with periodical impregnation stages of the blanks by a binder.
