FIELD: carbon blanks firing equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a chamber with a slit-type hearth, on which a protective layer of mullite-silica material is placed, and containers over the protective layer, having covers with holes, ribs on their outer surface, a layer of the mullite-silica material on the surface, a labyrinth packing between the housing and the cover, packed by the mullite-silica material. The apparatus allows to perform an overfilling-free firing process of carbon blanks with provision of yielding and purifying degree of waste gases no less, than at firing with overfilling.
