FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves mounting poles at the end of each row in vineyard to form turning center, with line extending between working unit and poles at right and left sides in alternation being used as datum line; controlling and eliminating deviation of working unit from predetermined course, then from datum line, then at the end of row - from terminating pole. Working unit control system has wheel and working tool drives and course sensors connected with turning center follower, with terminating pole at the end of each row in vineyard being considered turning center. EFFECT: increased efficiency of controlling operation of working unit by providing efficient driving of unit in vineyard and turning of working unit at the end of row. 4 cl, 5 dwg
