FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cleaning canals from undesirable plants. Proposed plant for mowing down weedage from berms and slopes of canals contains frame, bar and knife with drive rotating in bearing supports. Plant has platform for gathering mown down weeds. Knife is arranged under bar is made in form of pack of horns whose ands are arranged along single-start or two-start helical lines on axle of knife rotation. Supports in form of ball segments are secured on free ends of horns. Spherical disks with ring cutting edges are fitted in supports for demounting and re-placing.
EFFECT: provision of low cutting of weedage at minimum power consumption, ease of gathering of mown down weeds and recycling.
