FIELD: metal casting equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has magnetically controlled valve, arranged in a duct of a mold for feeding liquid metal, to be moved between an opened position upon filling the mold and a closed position after the mold been filled and removed out of melt metal bath, arranged downwards, for eliminating discharge of the melt metal from a cavity of the mold, filled by such metal. The valve is being moved to its closed position by action of magnetic force, provided by permanent magnets or by an electromagnet, placed around an input duct under the valve.
