FIELD: turning and cutting tools. SUBSTANCE: a body of a milling cutter has a disc, having on its periphery two symmetrical truncated cone surfaces, being parts of seats for cutting plates, and two inserts, placed at both sides of the disc. Cone surfaces of the disc have central annular grooves; a part of the seat with the annular groove along basic surfaces of recesses at is provided at side of the disc on an end surface of each insert.
