FIELD: heat-treatment of steel products. SUBSTANCE: this process prescribes passing wire through chamber containing graphite having density of 0.5 to 1.8 g/cu. cm by means of drawing mechanism, applying graphite coating to wire, heating latter in vacuum of 1 to 40 Pa to austenitic condition, rapidly cooling heated wire to ferrite transformation point by abstracting heat through water-cooled graphite having density of 0.5 to 1.8 g/cu. cm, heat-conducting graphite layer thickness δ being equal to 5≅ δ≅ 15-d8, where d represents wire diameter in mm, isometrically standing promptly cooled wire in graphite having density of 0.5 to 1.8 g/cu. cm and heated to temperature of perlite transformation of austenite and then cooling wire to room temperature by abstracting heat using water via water-cooled graphite having density of 0.5 to 1.8 g/cu. cm. EFFECT: patenting according to disclosed technique improves ecological conditions, scales up ductility of wire and reduces number of steps in drawing. 2 cl, 1 dwg
