PROTECTIVE WAISTCOAT Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: protection against bullets and shell- splinters. SUBSTANCE: waistcoat has protective part and outer enclosure with shoulder portions carrying rollers for retaining equipment carried by waistcoat wearer. Protective part and enclosure are made in the form of parallelepiped with inlet end closable opening disposed adjacent back portion of waistcoat. Each parallelepiped carries insert formed as folded tape, whose one end is secured on shoulder portion of waistcoat and other end defines loop. Outer side of enclosure of back portion is provided with retaining loops, through which tapes are drawn in case of evacuation. Free ends of tape with loops are fixed in any place convenient for conveyance by dragging. EFFECT: increased efficiency in protecting against bullets and shell-splinters. 3 dwg
