FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: directional coupler has first microstrip line crossing slit line made in metal base and second microstrip line crossing slit line at distance equal to quarter of length of wave of first one. Inputs end outputs of microstrip lines form arms of directional coupler. Quarter-wavelength section of coplanar line open at end is connected to each end of section of slit line. Section of symmetric cable has quarter wave length, first conductor of it on one end is coupled to first microstrip line at point of its crossing with slit line, second conductor is connected to central conductor of section of coplanar line. On the other end of section of symmetric cable first conductor is connected to central conductor section of coplanar line and second conductor is linked to second microstrip line at point of its crossing with slit line.
