FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: product - coarsely crystalline octogen with average particle size 500-1000 microns and gravimetric density 1,45-1,55 g/cm3. Conditions: dissolving of octogen in ε-caprolactam containing 3-10% water at 100-120 C, at mass ratio e-caprolactam:octogen = 4-5:1, cooling of solution up to 60-95 C with dosing of water heated up to 60-95 C to the solution for 30-60 C up to water content in the solution 25-35% following by cooling up to 10-25 C at the rate 0.5-1 C/min. Method is used for octogen recrystallization. EFFECT: improved method of octogen crystallization.
