FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method for octogen recrystallisation by the way of its partial dissolution in the water solution of ε-caprolactam during heating with following cooling differing in the fact that octogen beforehand disintegrated up to specific surface area 2800 cm2/g - 4000 cm2/g is processed in the 70% water solution of ε-caprolactam with mass ratio of solution of ε-caprolactam to octogen being equal to 3-10:1, heated up to the temperature 50÷80°C, allowed and the cooled to 10÷25°C. The said method of octogen recrystallisation allows to obtain the β-octogen of necessary fractions with average particle size dav=150±20 mcm and 50±10 mcm and acidity less than 0.03% with feasible and economic way.
