METHOD OF DIGITAL MEASUREMENT OF TEMPERATURE AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: information, conversion and measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method consists in conversion of temperature-sensitive resistance of p-n junction of semiconductor pickup corresponding to measured temperature to voltage with first value of current through it, in conversion of obtained voltage to first frequency of electric signal and in conversion of it to code, in additional conversion of resistance of p-n function of semiconductor pickup corresponding to measured temperature to voltage with second value of current through it, in later conversion of resistance of p-n junction corresponding to zero temperature to voltage and in conversion of voltage to corresponding second and third frequencies of electric signals and in their conversion to code. Result of digital measurement is found by formula , with being proportionality factor, where Uo is value of reference voltage; n is constant coefficient equal to 10...25; K is Boltzmann constant; q is charge of electron; are values of currents through p-n junction; f1, f2 and f3 are correspondingly values of first, second and third frequencies. Device for digital measurement of temperature of relaxation oscillations has source of reference voltage, nine resistors, capacitor, semiconductor pickup with p-n junction, transistor key, pulse former, operational amplifier, signal precessing unit, two matching units, communication line, two flip-flops, former of clearing pulse, two automatic switches, unit of number setting and reversible pulse counter connected in certain way.
