FIELD: fish farming. SUBSTANCE: method involves hatchery reproduction followed by raising in trays and small-cell stews. On completion of each phase the material is assessed for size and weight, and biggest fishes are selected. They are raised in big-cell stews until they are added to the spawning flock. The breeding stock are fishes maintaining or exceeding the liveweight gain rank at the age 0+ and 1+, and at each stage of evaluation those fished exceeding the rank are branded.
