FIELD: working of metals. SUBSTANCE: clamping device has carriage housing with shaft on bearings, clamping power cylinder fixed on housing at the side of clamping chuck. Power cylinder has double-rod piston and stepped piston bushing, which is secured on shaft adjacent to cylinder bottom. When tube is clamped, a portion of shaft extending to piston bushing is subjected to extension, when workpiece is released, equal pressure is transmitted to cover and bottom of cylinder, i.e. shaft is completely relieved. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 1 dwg
