FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding metal from pouring ladle into intermediate ladle; pouring metal from intermediate ladle into crystallizer and working metal by exposing it to the action of electromagnetic field, with metal exiting from pouring ladle being exposed to the action of electric field and metal exiting from intermediate ladle being exposed to the action of travelling electromagnetic field. EFFECT: provision for obtaining fine-grain structure of casting, reduced content of gas and non-metallic inclusions, increased-uniformity distribution of non- metallic inclusions across casting section.
