FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: semifinished material is loaded at a constant speed to a point causing a stress of σ < σb- Δσ in the specimen where σb - average value of ultimate strength of composition material in the armoring direction; where S - root mean square deviation when determining the ultimate strength of composition material in armoring direction; tstr -Student's coefficient; n - number of tested specimens during determination of σb with concurrent recording of "load-absolute elongation" diagram followed by unloading the specimen. Loading and unloading are repeated to the point when the loading curve gets aligned with unloading curve. EFFECT: higher mechanical characteristics of unidirectional composition material under tension in the armoring direction with concurrent determination of these characteristics. 1 dwg
