FIELD: railway electrification. SUBSTANCE: unit has bearing and pendant members provided with operating and nonoperative branches of carrier cables fixed on them. The cables are connected through terminals to main spring conductor and to supporting strings attached to branches of contact cords. An additional spring conductor cut by one third bears on the mentioned carrier cable operating branch so that its ends are affixed through terminals to the mentioned cable at inner sides of the main spring conductor clamps so as to form rhomb in rhomb. The latter have their bottom equipotential sides driven apart through the center by means of a dielectric spacer hinged to the additional spring conductor and rigidly attached to the main one. The conductors are arranged at both sides of the spacer so as to join the branches of contact cords through movable sealing members and slide strings. An air gap is formed through the spacer at the top and through stops below. The device effects a concurrent vertical and longitudinal movement of the mentioned branches when the ambient reveals various temperature differences with the cords being insulated against compensation overcurrents.
