FIELD: electrified railways; ac and DC contact systems. SUBSTANCE: contact system has taut carrier cable 4, hanger units of link droppers 5 secured through coiled loops with guard thimbles 6 and connectors 7 by upper ends to carrier cable and by lower ends to contact wire 8 in each span. Carrier cable 4 is mounted on intermediate support poles 1 and 2 by means of saddle cleats. Hanger units of droppers in middle part of span are made in form of simple droppers 9 installed by one or by two with axial linking. Further from these droppers to adjacent poles 1 and 2 droppers 5 with normalized increase in length and number of flexible bending link couplings are installed. Coupling hinges of links are made with axial misalignment relative to axis of link 10, are bent inwards in form of C-letter for damping of contact wire 8 in hanger units by elastic forces and for equalizing elasticity in all parts of span with provision of stable current collection and uniform minimum wear of contact wire in current collector plates in contact with wire at high-speed movement.
