FIELD: materials testing. SUBSTANCE: unit has platform 3 with tested item 4 fixed on it and striker 7. The striker and platform are speeded up in opposite directions. Speeding up is performed by springy accelerator made in the form of tensile members 11. One part of ends of the members is connected to the platform and striker, and the other part of ends is connected to tensile mechanism 14. The platform and striker are directly interlinked to each other through cables 9 bending around blocks 10, are installed on vertical sliders 2, 6 and are counterbalanced. The unit also has aids to move the platform and striker apart, and comprises a drive installed on base 1. The drive moves down the lower mass of two ones being collided. EFFECT: simple design and increased accuracy when repeating the preset shape of impact pulse. 2 dwg
