METHOD OF MULTICHANNEL MAGNETIC RECORDING OF DIGITAL INFORMATION Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: first information pulses of first source are fed in to all N information channels. At initiation of readiness command from other L sources command to increase velocity of magnetic medium in L+1 times is formed. On completion of process of change of speed information pulses of first source are fed in to first N/(L+1) information channels and information pulses of other sources are sent into other L, N/(L+1) information channels. Simultaneously frequency of synchronization pulses is increased by L+1 times. On completion of readiness command other L sources stop formation of information pulses, from command to decrease speed of movement of magnetic medium by L+1 times. At same time frequency of synchronization pulses is diminished by L+1 times and information pulses of first source are fed into all N information channels. Method is meant for more effective use of magnetic medium with multichannel recording of information from several sources operating irregularly in process of multichannel magnetic recording of digital information by formation of synchronization and marker pulses, by extraction of auxiliary signals from them, by input of sign of antimisallignment marker into each information channel by summing information pulses with auxiliary signals, by summing of marker pulses in reference channel with synchronization pulses delayed by half-clock period and by subsequent formation of recording currents in all channels.
