MANIPULATOR FOR CLEANING RAIL CARS WITH DOUBLE-SLOPE FLOOR Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; cleaning of cars from remnants of bulk cargo. SUBSTANCE: cylindrical brush 4 is mounted on carriage 2 with telescopic guide 1 and is lowered down from self-propelled gantry 3. Sliders of shaped rod are installed on telescopic guide 1 and furnished with toothed racks and gear wheel fitted on output shaft of step motor. Control device is made in form of programmable controller with parallel registers, subtracting binary counters, decoders, pulse generators with logic elements and three phase clock pulse generators with power amplifiers connected to phases of corresponding step motors. Length of first telescopic slider is L₁= (B/ 2)·tgα, and length of second slider is L₂= H + Δ where B - width of rail car body, α angle of floor slope, H - height of rail car body and D safe distance under car.
